Captain Don’s Habitat

Captain Don’s Habitat offers a unique collection of accommodations including:

• Deluxe Ocean View rooms with fridge, coffee maker and microwave with 2 queen beds
• Deluxe Oceanfront Junior Suites with kitchenette, king size bed and queen size sofa sleeper
• Two-bedroom Bungalows with kitchens
• Three-bedroom Oceanfront Villas with kitchens

All have AC, cable TV, room safes and balconies or patios. Villas and Bungalows have complete kitchens and Ocean view rooms, Jr. Suites and Bungalows have telephones and FREE Wi-Fi. Cable TV is available in all units. Daily housekeeping is provided.

New Rooms for 2023 – Captain Don’s Habitat has completed new garden view rooms surrounding their own pool! They include Deluxe Garden Rooms with 1 king or 2 queen beds and poolside Deluxe Garden Suites with king bed. All include cable TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, safe, wifi  modern decor and balcony or patios.

Habitat’s Dive Center is a Padi Gold Palm Resort and SDI Training facility and fulfills every diver need of rentals, sales, service and instruction. Three daily boat departures with 1-tank dives are offered (snorkelers are welcome on availability); their diver pier allows 24-hour use with convenient tank access for exploring the house reef . Gear lockers are available for guests, convenient to the boat dock and rinse tanks.

Captain Don’s retail facility offers dive and snorkel equipment as well as beach wear, sundries and souvenirs. For those seeking technical diving adventures, Technical Diving Services offers onsite classroom instruction and rental gear including rebreathers, doubles and sidemounts.

Snorkelers will find the shallows teeming with marine life all along Captain Don’s waterfront. Entry is via stair ladders from the pier or Seven Body Beach on the north end of the resort. You can also join a dive boat trip ($10 per person).

The resort’s popular Rum Runners restaurant is oceanfront dining at its best for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also boast the Pizza Temple for thin crust Italian pizza. The adjacent Deco-Stop Bar is a gathering spot for guests and locals alike with live entertainment, happy hour specials and great sunsets. Both are Wi-Fi internet hot spots for resort guests.

Fully equipped kitchens can be found in the 2 bedroom bungalows and the 3 bedroom oceanfront villas (all other rooms have small fridge, microwave and coffee makers). Grocery stores are available right up the street or in town less than 5 minutes away.

The Graceful Touch Spa at Habitat offers indulgent spa packages and treatments. Habitat has meeting facilities with audio-visual services and catering available for groups up to 100. The resort’s swimming pools are a great place for guests to relax, read and recharge.

Vista Blue Boutique offers convenience goods, souvenirs, dive and snorkel articles as well as drinks, snacks and more. Open daily from 8AM to 9PM.

Babysitting services can be arranged at the front desk for parents wanting to dive or spend a night out.
