Jibe City
Bonaire’s original windsurf outpost is your headquarters for gear rentals and lessons with an old school vibe and new school vision. Jalmar de Jong and his family now operate this legendary site with a relaxed style and outstanding service. Featuring tons of great new equipment and fun instructors that will get you progressing quickly, Jibe City will take your windsurfing journey to the next level. They feature Fanatic, Starboard and RRD boards, and are a Severne Sails test center. Foiling and winging gear and lessons are also available at Jibe City.
Next door, the “Hang Out Beach Bar” serves food and drinks with sun lounges or shaded seating, all with a view of the action on Lac Bay.

Bonaire Windsurf Place
Next door to Jibe City and still owned and operated by island locals Elvis Marinus, Patun Saragoza and Roger Jurriens, “The Place” features top of the line gear and instruction with an island style touch. Their seasoned team of instructors and staff have been serving surfers here since 1995. They stock the latest designs from Starboard, RRD and Hot Sails Maui.
Adjacent to The Place is Sebastian’s Beach, a new restaurant and bar with plenty of space for lounging, relaxing and fueling up on delicious food and drinks.
