What to expect: Belmar Oceanfront Apartments is an intimate complex affording spectacular ocean views for its loyal clientele. These deluxe units, in a quiet residential area outside town, overlook a colorful garden terrace with the ocean just steps away. The staff provides a personal touch and their small dive shop makes Belmar an ideal base for shore diving.

Rooms: Belmar offers 20 apartments with one, two or three bedrooms as well as a two-bedroom penthouse. All include fully equipped kitchens, air-conditioned bedrooms, king, queen or twin beds with rattan and tropical décor. Apartments have cable TV and CD music centers, ceiling fans throughout, telephones and room safes. Housekeeping is provided and all units have furnished ocean view patios or balconies.

Diving: The small Belmar Dive shop, operated by Buddy Dive, provides a full range of rentals, service and instruction. Filled tanks are provided at their roadside station for shore divers 24 hours a day and Belmar’s two piers with rinse tanks, shower and step ladders make diving your private reef easy. Boat dive pick up is available for groups. Private lockers come with each apartment for gear storage.

Amenities and Nearby: The garden terrace and swimming pool sits right at the ocean’s edge with Belmar’s ever-present views of the ocean, Klein Bonaire, Kralendijk harbor and the mountainous north end of the island. Less than 10 minute’s drive from town, several small beaches and Lac Bay nearby, their location in the Belnem area is very convenient and quiet. There is a small bar and restaurant at the Hotel Roomer across the street.
